The Beaver Creek Community Development Corporation (BC-CDC) has organized a RANCH HOUSE COALITION dedicated to serving our community by helping to restore a central community asset - The Beaver Creek Ranch House Restaurant and adjoining golf course. Members of the Coalition stand to receive benefits of our organization including some control over their community assets.
Beaver Creek CDC is an Arizona Non Profit membership corporation, established in April 2010. The members of the BCCDC elects the Board of Directors and Trustees, who in turn, manages projects and funds benefiting the community on behalf of its coalition members.
The Beaver Creek CDC is a local response to the changing nature of the economic support available to rural communities. Traditionally, communities like Beaver Creek turned to County government for support. In recent decades, however, the resources which local authorities have available for community and economic development have become steadily constrained.
The recognition of this situation grew during the 2000s forcing Beaver Creek residents to take their own initiatives to meet local needs and to cast a wide net to obtain the resources, financial or otherwise, needed to implement these initiatives. One factor behind this awareness was the changing nature of the community itself. Beaver Creek has doubled in size every decade since the 1980s.
Despite the fact that BC-CDC has only been established for a short time, it is already restored and established the Ranch House Restaurant in addition to the purchase of the 120 acre golf course and its facilities. If op0erated correctly, this Social Enterprise can serve as a means for funding future community projects by accessing its profits.
Ranch House Coalition Membership grows at a steady pace. With this growth, we were able to accomplish the restoration and revival of the restaurant. Work must continue for the golf course to help achieve a sustainable economic community. We welcome your membership and support.
Please inquire today about how you can become a part of our growing membership. Additionally, we are looking for community-based volunteers and resources that can assist in a "community garden raising" type renovation of the golf course liken to the "Barn Raising" for restaurant.
